Inspiration:

I am a pet lover, just like you. I have been fortunate enough to share my life with dogs, cats, rabbits, and even fish. However, at times I have found it difficult to understand their behaviors and needs. This has led me to make incorrect decisions that, in some cases, have negatively impacted the well-being of my pets. That is why I have decided to create a solution that helps people like me, who want to learn and better understand our furry friends in order to improve their care. This initiative is born out of a passion for pets and the conviction that we all deserve a healthy and happy relationship with our animal companions.

Challenge:

The solution I propose will impact three fundamental pillars:

Information: Offer high-quality educational content about animal behavior, specific needs of each species, training and care tips, first aid, and much more.

Technology: Develop digital tools that facilitate communication with our pets, such as pet behavior translators.

Community: Create a vibrant community of pet lovers where we can share experiences, learn from each other, and receive emotional support.

Benefits:

Improved communication with our pets: By better understanding their needs and behaviors, we will be able to establish a stronger and more harmonious relationship with them.

More effective care: We will be able to offer our pets the care they really need, avoiding mistakes that could affect their health and well-being.

Greater peace of mind: Knowing that we are doing everything we can to make our furry friends happy and healthy will give us greater peace of mind and satisfaction.

Project Construction:

To build the Minimum Viable Product, some foundational models from Amazon Bedrock were used, such as Claude, Llama 2 and Stable Difussion XL. PartyRock was also leveraged to build the application. With the Claude model, a translation is generated to help people who have questions in languages such as Spanish, with the Stable Difussion XL model an image of the pet and its behavior is created, and Llama 2 draws on information previously entered by the user to provide context and answer questions. The idea for a later phase would be to integrate other functions such as video recognition to suggest behaviors, as it currently only works with text descriptions.

Invitation:

If you are a pet lover who, like me, has experienced difficulties understanding your furry friends, I invite you to join this initiative. Together we can build a community where love for pets translates into actions that improve their quality of life.
