Inspiration
some of us have lots of clothing in our wardrobe; we also don't have much time in the morning to settle on an outfit.
So we let programming figure it out our daily outfit, based on styling rules (or we hope it did).
What it does
- Log and manage our wardrobe (and create outfits)
How we built it
- frontend: react + typescript
- firebase as a backend
Challenges we ran into
- firebase configuration was a challenge
- first time using typescript and react for some of us
- i (jerry) can't code on no sleep, to cook i need to let it simmer (he's old now)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- a barebones mvp
What we learned
- next time we should prepare a template beforehand so we don't waste time trying to setup
- you can use firebase purely as a backend and just call their services via the frontend
- properly distributed tasks and features, making use of git, etc. so we can work together
- having a designer goes far 🙌
What's next for fitspace
- build this outside context of a hackathon, when we're not sleep deprived
