What it does

Waste sorting automation

How we built it

We built it using Python Flask for the backend, using the OpenAI API, which is where images are sent, and the frontend was made using just pure HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Challenges we ran into

One of the challenges we ran into was trying to set up the OpenAI API, since it required payment and only for a limited amount of credits

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were so happy when we managed to get the API working such that the client could upload an image and receive the feedback it sent back

What we learned

We learned how to use the OpenAI API

What's next for EcoSort

Add more functionalities like more options, where to dispose of other objects like furniture, electronics, etc.
