Inspiration
Hackathon Mentors and Tutors being helpful to us.
What it does
It allows for business to seek out volunteers for their events such as hackathons, carnivals, festivals, food banks, etc. with a single post.
How we built it
We used the Django framework and regular HTML, CSS, and a lot of YouTube tutorials and googling.
Challenges we ran into
Connecting the CSS with HTML pages using jinja syntax, coming up with ideas that are achievable, arriving to a consensus.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We managed to complete a prototype website in 3 hours, and we didn't give up despite our many frustrations, arguments, and time limitations.
What we learned
That simple is always best, we shouldn't start with complexity, rather, we should start simple, and be complex later.
What's next for Volunteer Website
Enhancing the User Interface and adding more features for better connectivity between the business and the volunteers, making a sign up/registration section, as well as an authentication section, and also being able to use Create.Read.Update.Delete on our website
