Inspiration

As a travel enthusiast, searching for the best travel tickets, finding the most welcoming accommodations, and planning a range of exciting activities while building authentic social connections with locals represents a significant challenge. This quest can quickly become time-consuming and complex, requiring careful attention to every detail.

What it does

A mobile application that allows users to find plane tickets, discover accommodations, and suggests real-time activities facilitating interaction with locals and other tourists. The main functionalities of the app include:

Finding travel tickets
Discovering accommodations in the destination city
Suggesting a list of activities
Planning the activities
Calculating the total activity score with human interaction.

How we built it

In building our project, we utilized Flutter for mobile app development, GitHub for version control, Firebase for backend services, and Figma for UI/UX design. This comprehensive approach enabled seamless collaboration, robust data management, and visually appealing user interfaces, culminating in an innovative and polished solution.

Challenges we ran into

During the hackathon, one of the major obstacles we encountered was the development of the recommendation system. Additionally, we were unable to find free and effective APIs that we could integrate into our solution.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are thrilled to have implemented several features of the solution. Additionally, the opportunity to meet new people and exchange with them has enriched our experience.

What we learned

It was definitely a nice learning opportunity, we got to experience and feedback many ideas from different challenges before fixing the idea, we got to learn about recommendation systems through our searches, and above all, we got to experience the nice atmosphere of Barcelona and meet great minds and exchange ideas with them.
