Travel Buddy is an Android application that helps solo travelers to find like-minded individuals to attend events together based on their personality type, interests, and schedule.

Inspiration

We got the inspiration because as erasmus students we travelled a lot alone and we want to find a solution to that. We think that using as criteria the personality and the hobby are the most fitting and important

What it does

Personality-Based Profile Creation: Users can create a profile based on their MBTI personality type Interest Selection: Users can select their interests to personalize event recommendations Event Scheduling: Users can add activities to their schedule, specifying the time and location of their arrival Event Discovery: The app displays events based on the user's interests and schedule, showing available activities during specified time slots Map Integration: Users can view events on a map to see their locations and nearby activities Matchmaking: Users can view profiles of others interested in the same events, allowing them to send requests to connect and attend activities together.

How we built it

We use as IDE Android Studio and we work with Java and XML. For the Database we use SQLite and OpenStreetMAp API for the map
