Inspiration

I love AI and I've always wished a Todo app would integrate AI as part of their planning assistant. Sometimes we just want to get thoughts/todos out of our mind, and AI can really help reduce the friction.

What it does

TodoPal is an AI-powered to-do app that takes care of planning for you. Just tell it what you want to get done and it'll figure out the details.

How we built it

We're a team of 4. 3 engineers and one designer. We've used React, TypeScript, Next, and Supabase to get this MVP out. Also used Framer for the landing page.

Challenges we ran into

Managing the scope of the work to fit within the limited time allotted for the Hackathon was a very challenging one. We can only do so much in 56 hours, also I believe we should do small scoped projects well versus doing larger scoped projects but not so well done.

Also, sleep deprivation was taking a toll on some of the team members.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Built a working, functional to-do app with integrated AI features in less than 56 hours.
• Got featured on ProductHunt 🎉

What we learned

Amazing things can happen in a short span of time with a dedicated and focused team.

What's next for TodoPal

On the Product side: More AI features, better reliability/usability, Improved UI/UX Business/Marketing: Doing more user research, partnering up with people expert in the productivity space, etc.
