Inspiration
We found early in development that our game looked a lot like the original Legend of Zelda, so we leaned into that.
What it does
You play as an elephant who moves and shoots peanuts our of its trunk with wasd and left click.
How we built it
We used C# and Unity.
Challenges we ran into
The GitHub was the hardest for us. We lost our original map and had to create a new one an hour before submission. We also had trouble with new software and learning a new language.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We made a playable game, even though it's not pretty. We learned how to use C# and Unity, and really came together as a team.
What we learned
We learned C# and Unity, and we learned that setting up the GitHub repo correctly is very important. You should save very often!
What's next for The Legend of Trunk
We hope to continue working on our game and add more animations (which we have sprites of, but ran out of time), proprietary sprites for the poachers, better level design, and features that make the game more fun.
