Inspiration

Tinder, the popular dating app. Our design and template are heavily inspired by them.

What it does

It selects recipes from all across the world, from different cuisines and cultures. If you like what you see, you can swipe right and it'll show you the instructions

How we built it

For the Front End, we used HTML with some JavaScript (NodeJS) for the backend. With the help of some AI, we managed to create this application. We spent some of our time also using online tutorials.

Challenges we ran into

None of us actually knew how to code with HTML professionally, as we were mostly specialized with other programs such as Python, so we had to watch a lot of specialized tutorials within the 10 hours. Half of our members also did not have the hardware to code properly, so 2/4 members were not able to code.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are beginners, this is the first time we've actually coded together in a competitive setting. We've worked hard and were dedicated to this project and

What we learned

We surprisingly learned a lot with HTML, learning how website UI works and placing different buttons. This was also our first hackathon, so we learned how they work and what are they expectations.

What's next for Tender

A sophisticated login page with user accounts, personalized user preferences using AI tools; vegetarian, halal, lactose intolerance. Change code using swift to IOS app (or Android). Better API to select recipes and tutorials.
