Inspiration

Score Milk was inspired by the team's college days. The days when you would be playing Halo on the sofa with your best friend and you would say..."I bet you 20 I will beat you". With the introduction of blockchain technology, this can now be done across the world.

What it does

Score Milk is a browser-based gaming platform that focuses on skill-based matchmaking, both wagered and free play. Furthermore, the platform offers tools to gamers, community owners, and developers that increase monetization and enhance the gamer experience. Gamers will be able to use our social features, such as direct chatting with their opponent and community lobby chats, as well as compete with their friends on individual game and community leaderboards. They will also be able to challenge their friends to a friendly wager using the blockchain of their choice. As a game developer and community owner, Score Milk offers an easy way to integrate games and increase monetization. A portion of the fee collected for every game goes to both the game dev and the community(lobby) where the game is played. This can yield up to 50 times what a game developer earns on a traditional gaming platform.

How we built it

We built the platform from the ground up taking into account game security, scalability, and the current needs of game developers. In April of 2021, The co-founders applied for a patent for the technology that will be used on Score Milk. This technology allows for Score Milk to utilize human-readable content as gameplay elements/game directions with the objective of giving a human player an advantage against a bot or script. The patent was granted on March 19th, 2024. Please see image showing the approved patent.

Challenges we ran into

Building a first-of-its-kind is always a challenging feat. Even though there were challenges in all aspects of development, security is always the biggest challenge, especially when it comes to gaming. For us, this was the most important challenge that we faced. We built the entire platform with this in mind. Not only do we have patent -pending tech amongst other security features, but we designed a lobby/community feature where we incentivize community owners to safeguard the security of the platform.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are extremely proud of having a working product after the years of hard work and dedication. We are also very proud of accomplishing this without taking any outside investment. Just imagine what we can now do with significant backing. This in itself makes us very proud.

What we learned

We learned that hard work, on every facet, is needed to render a good product. Now, as we move into user acquisition, a lot more hard work is what will get us there. We are confident our hard work will pay off.

What's next for Score MIlk

Now that the platform is built, we are gearing up for user acquisition. We are currently working with several gaming entities(gaming clans and web3 partners) in order to launch a user acquisition campaign. We are also evaluating the prospect of launching a token, though this will be dependent on investment funding and partnership deals, amongst other factors.

Furthermore, we will soon be releasing our in-platform "Coin" which will serve as a credit reward mechanism for rewarding non-web3 gamers and web3 gamers alike.
