Inspiration

Using Generative AI to enhance our E-Commerce app

What it does

SafuMarket is an E-Commerce online app built with Square-API, for our customers to order form our catalogue, to pay immediately or use Invoices for later payments after product(s) derivery.

How we built it

We build the front-end using Angular and back-end using python Fast-API For SEO optimized Catalogue Item descriptions we used generative AI, to make sure we reach a large target audience. We have started building SafuBot, a generative-AI customer assistant and embed it on the app to help serve customers better and faster. We will also incorporate AI search based on Google Vision AI for our customers to snap an image and get instant results if item exists on our Catalogue.

Challenges we ran into

Very Limited Time. Most of Google VertexAI being on Beta, documentation and regional availability is challenging. In-consistence results from google Palm-API generative AI. Most of Google Vertex AI is still in Beta stage.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Having a working prototype. Experience of trying to incorporate AI in E-commerce was eye opening to the world of possibilities AI will and can have on Retail and E-Commerce in general.
