Inspiration

Our primary inspiration came from the Forest app, which encourages users to stay focused and productive by growing virtual trees. We aimed to create a similar motivational tool but with enhanced interactive features and personalized task management.

What it does

Our website provides a solution that helps students effectively manage their tasks and maintain a healthy balance between academics and social life. By gamifying task management and automatic scheduling, students are incentivized to stay organized, motivated, and engaged in their daily activities. This approach not only helps students keep track of their priorities but also fosters a sense of accomplishment and encourages a more balanced lifestyle.

How we built it

React for frontend, Next.js for server-side rendering, three.js for immersive visuals. Firebase for backend services like authentication and database management.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was integrating 3D models into a web environment, which required optimizing performance and compatibility across devices. Also to ensure a seamless user experience while managing state across different components was complex to implement.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are super proud of creating a visually appealing user interface that motivates students through gamification! We think successfully integrating 3D models that interact with user tasks and achievements without compromising performance was a big achievement.

What we learned

Throughout the development process, we learned a lot about the complexities of 3D rendering in web applications and improved our skills in state management and UI/UX design. We also gained insight into effective gamification techniques that drive user engagement.

What's next for Pooductivity

Moving forward, we plan to introduce AI-driven insights to help students optimize their productivity patterns. We're also looking at expanding our feature set to include group challenges and support for team-based environments to enhance collaboration and competitive spirits at university.
