The app pools together traffic data to analyze the best possible path for an emergency vehicle from any depot in the city to the site of an accident. By providing a better, more smartly-determined path to the emergency vehicle, it ensures accident sites are reached more quickly, injuries are tended to sooner, and less congestion results from an accident site. The OpenXC library is used to get the location of emergency vehicles dynamically to allow them to be displayed on a map on the mobile app.
