Inspiration
Its been a while since I've been able to work on personal stuff. So here is one of my new props, an O2 Tank created from awesome concept art by Tanya Shcher.. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/N59r8d
What it does
Prop art for in my mind sci-fi environments. Could be rigged/animated to have interaction as a resupply station for players.
How we built it
Autodesk maya for 3D modeling and Substance Painter for Texturing
Challenges we ran into
Really trying to nail a stylized look in the texturing. I would love to try texturing this piece in 3D coat just to try and achieve a more painterly look.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Able to get another finished piece on the board and into the portfolio, diggity dawg
What we learned
3D modeling is fun and finishing a piece to add to your portfolio even more fun
What's next for O2 Tank
Might go into my game studio project at Clark University as a prop in our game.
