About the Project: NAti - Negocio a Ti

Inspiration

NAti, which stands for "Negocio a Ti" (Business to You), stemmed from our passion for fostering entrepreneurship and community development. Inspired by the stories of local entrepreneurs seeking a platform to share their knowledge and skills, and by individuals eager to acquire new experiences, we saw an opportunity to bridge these two worlds. Additionally, we were motivated to contribute to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 8 and 11, which promote decent work and economic growth, as well as the creation of sustainable communities and cities.

What We Learned

Throughout the development of NAti, we learned a great deal about the importance of community and collaborative economy. We discovered how digital platforms can be powerful tools for connecting people and offering them opportunities for both personal and professional growth. We also gained technical knowledge about web application development and the integration of specific functionalities for event management.

How We Built Our Project

We built NAti with a focus on usability and accessibility. We utilized modern technologies to develop an intuitive and user-friendly platform for both entrepreneurs and users interested in experiences. The process included:

  • Research and design: We conducted market studies and surveys to better understand the needs of our users.
  • Front-end and back-end development: We implemented the front-end using React to create a dynamic and responsive user interface. The back-end was developed with Node.js and Express, allowing efficient data management and seamless integration with the front-end.
  • Database: We used PostgreSQL to securely store user information, events, and transactions.
  • Testing and feedback: We tested the platform with a pilot group of entrepreneurs and users, gathering their feedback to make continuous improvements.

Challenges We Faced

Developing NAti was not without its challenges. Some of the most significant obstacles we faced were:

  • Teamwork and time constraints: Working together as a team within a 24-hour timeframe to produce a functional prototype posed challenges in coordinating tasks and managing time effectively.
  • User adoption: Convincing potential entrepreneurs and users of the benefits of our platform and encouraging adoption required significant efforts in marketing and education.

Despite these challenges, we are proud of what we have accomplished with NAti and are excited about its potential to transform how people access local experiences and support entrepreneurs.

Conclusion

NAti is more than just a digital platform; it is an initiative to empower local entrepreneurs and strengthen communities. We believe that by providing a space where individuals can share their passions and skills, we are contributing to a more connected and sustainable world. We are excited about the impact NAti can have and will continue working to improve and expand our platform.
