Inspiration - We were inspired by Khan Academy and complaints that we heard about Khan Academy being really boring a new and exciting way to improve the website so students could be interested.
What it does - We join together openai generated math problems based on grade levels from grade range Kindergarten to 12th Grade(Counting to Multivariable). We also incorporate mind puzzles and riddles that challenge the critical thinking component of students.
How we built it - We built this website using HTML, an open-ai api key, and python where all files for the front/back end were organized on VS Code. Majority of time was spent on the backend and implementing answerable questions and training the ai to answer these questions.
Challenges we ran into - A few challenges we ran into were image maps that weren't working along with formatting problems with our website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of - We are proud of creating a functional website where all the code works and although the design is not what we hoped, we still learned lots from this experience.
What we learned - We learned how to advance our website-creation skills such as dropdowns and image maps that were originally untouched territory for us.
