The Beginnings

it all started with a desire to help a girl diagnosed with level 1 autism. this project is driven by a desire to make mental health resources more accessible and supportive. presenting to you Mind Canvas.

What it does

Mind Canvas is made with vision of early detection of autism symptoms. often the parents realize late that their child needs special help to cope with this fast moving surroundings. Main Areas of Mind Canvas are

  • ASD LEVEL QUIZ for detection
  • blog section for awareness of users
  • consulting section for users via booking appointments and chat with doctors
  • AI chat bot to help with daily tasks

Challenges we ran into

understanding what people with autism and other mental challenges need was our first step. we used ready available online forums and other means to collect data. the main requirements were that . they require constant need of assistance in day-to-day tasks, so we tried to include a friendly AI that talks to the user like a guardian. to enhance the communication user can share pictures with it. this ai chatbot uses Gemini-pro model api to effectively tend to users. For a platform to be accessible to all people, we have to make it very intuitive and user friendly, with quick and easy registration. firebase authentication takes all the credit here as it allows for user management with custom claims we were able to integrate user role management without having to bother about any backend program for it. connecting healthcare professionals in an efficient manner is still a challenge. we are searching better way to connect them into the app flow.

What's next for MindCanvas

We are committed to expanding Mind Canvas's capabilities. We plan to integrate additional mental health resources, further develop the AI coaching features, and explore partnerships with mental health organizations to reach a wider audience.
