Whether it was for a haircut, a tattoo session, or a visit to an eyebrow studio, the process often involved endless phone calls and frustrating waits. This led to the realization that there had to be a more efficient way to connect beauty professionals with clients.
What it does
GlamFlow AI is a platform that simplifies the booking process for beauty appointments. It uses AI technology to understand user preferences and provide personalized recommendations for available appointments at salons and spas.
How we built it
Building GlamFlow AI involved combining advanced AI algorithms with a user-friendly interface. We created a database of salons and spas, categorizing them based on services offered and location. The AI component was trained to understand user preferences and provide accurate recommendations. Additionally, we integrated Couchbase for efficient data storage and implemented AI-powered vector search for improved recommendation accuracy.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges was integrating AI into the frontend using APIs. Additionally, integrating with various salon booking systems posed technical challenges that needed to be addressed. However, the most significant learning curve was integrating Couchbase and implementing AI-powered vector search to enhance recommendation accuracy.
