Inspiration
Focusing on the problem of helping students to ‘lock-in’ and aid them with studying more effectively, the ideal app should be to provide students like us the ability to learn about our studying habits.
What it does
A powerful directory of tools for students. It all starts with a workspace. This is your folder. Name it anything. Workspaces contain your files. These are the files that essentially hold your notes, tasks, media files, web links and the code snippet you “borrowed” from a very nice fella off of stackoverflow.
How we built it
We built it using React, Vite, TypeScript, and Figma for design.
Challenges we ran into
Building Focus Folio had its challenges, like integrating features seamlessly and ensuring security while keeping it user-friendly. Integrating features like real-time collaboration and syncing across devices was a major hurdle, alongside maintaining security and privacy.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of creating a user-friendly platform that helps students manage their study routines better. Our teamwork and determination helped us tackle hurdles and build a valuable tool for education.
What we learned
Throughout development, we gained insights into building a multifaceted productivity tool, prioritizing user feedback and iteration while deepening our understanding of frontend and backend technologies.
What's next for Focus Folio
In the future, we plan to make Focus Folio even better and reach more users. We're exploring adding advanced analytics to give insights into study habits and productivity. Plus, we want to make studying fun by adding gamification elements. Our goal is to keep improving Focus Folio to meet students' changing needs worldwide.
