Inspiration
Our inspiration was the complexity of dealing with weight/height charts. They're hard to read and not as specific to individual.
What it does
Our program takes the weight, height, total energy intake, and gender of the user. Then converts it to whether they're at a healthy weight. The program also keeps record of the user's changes in each category each day.
How we built it
We used replit to build our program. We used a regular Java console and JFrame to display a record keeping spreadsheet.
Challenges we ran into
We had little time and numerous errors with the code. This resulted in us unable to add an ai that we had originally planned and having to reduce the capability of the program.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of being able to create an interactive spreadsheet that can record information. We're also proud of the use of arrays to display and record data.
What we learned
We learned about parseInts, which convert strings into ints as well as JFrame mechanics in replit's functionality.
What's next for FitTrack
As we journey into programming, we plan on finally adding the AI into the program and making the program more digestable. We will also make the program more personalized.
