Inspiration
The inspiration for this project stemmed from a dual passion for both data analysis and design. I often found myself frustrated with the lack of intuitive visualization tools available. This sparked the idea to create a data visualization app that would not only simplify the process of visualizing data.
What it does
My project, named Finance, is a comprehensive financial management platform designed to streamline personal and small business finances. It offers features such as charts and predictive analysis.
How we built it
Finance was built using a typescript and database such as MogoDB to store the dataset. I utilized React.js for the front-end and recharts for the charts to create a responsive and intuitive user interface.
Challenges we ran into
Ensuring a seamless user experience and responsiveness was a primary challenge throughout the development of our project. Given that my focus was primarily on charts and predictive analysis, I didn't incorporate security features such as secure authentication mechanisms or encryption protocols. However, I recognize the importance of data security, especially when dealing with sensitive financial information.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Despite not having APIs or security features, I'm proud of the usability and functionality achieved in my project. My focus on creating visually appealing charts and accurate predictive analysis tools allows to deliver a valuable resource for users interested in exploring and understanding financial data. Additionally, I was able to ensure that the application remained responsive and intuitive, providing a seamless experience for users.
What we learned
Building Finance provided with invaluable insights into both the technical and practical aspects of financial management software. Additionally, i gained a better understanding of user needs and preferences in the realm of personal finance, which will inform our future product development efforts.
What's next for Finance
In the future, I plan to continue refining and expanding Finance to offer even more comprehensive financial management solutions. This includes adding features such as users dashboard and enhanced data analytics. I also aim to further enhance the user experience by optimizing performance, improving accessibility, and incorporating user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
