Inspiration

The inspiration for Eris stemmed from the pressing need to address the inefficiencies in the VA hiring process. We recognized that the manual evaluation and processing of applicant packages were not only time-consuming but also labor-intensive, leading to significant delays. This inefficiency hampers the VA's ability to hire staff within the targeted 80 days, impacting the quality of service provided to veterans. Driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact, we set out to develop a solution that would streamline this process, making it faster, fairer, and more competitive.

What it does

Eris is an AI-driven tool designed to revolutionize the VA hiring process. It automates the evaluation and processing of applicant packages, drastically reducing the time and effort required. By leveraging advanced algorithms and de-identification, Eris ensures a fair and unbiased assessment of candidates, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the hiring process. This enables the VA to meet its hiring targets, improve service delivery, and better serve veterans.

Challenges we ran into
