EmphatEyes is an Android mobile app that uses image filters to allow users to experience the world as seen by patients of different eye impairments like colorblindness. Users apply these filters to identify urban designs in their neighborhood that exclude the visually impaired. The identified problems are viewable to all users via the AMap API and stored in a cloud database, which could serve as a basis for urban architects to improve their inclusive design process. EmphatEyes hopes to increase awareness and empathy in the general public for the visually impaired.
