Eco-Wise

Inspiration

We were inspired by other small organizations that recycle materials to lessen the percentage of global emissions.

What it does

Our app encourages and guides consumers to purchase eco-friendly products. In the app, we have small business and bad business, a scanner to determine whether a product is eco-friendly or not, and tips on how to shop sustainably.

How we built it

We built this app through code.org in JavaScript. We designed different screens which displays the information we have about businesses, recommendations, and tips. Another thing we built was a button which the user can interact with to switch screens.

Challenges we ran into

While brainstorming, we struggled to narrow down our copious amount of ideas. Also, we had a difficult time obtaining specific information on particular businesses.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

During the project, we were able to expand our already existing skills, like communicating, researching, and coding.

What we learned

By working with other people, we were enlightened on different perspectives of other individuals. Due to the limited provided amount of time, we learned how to manage our time and focus on the relevant issues.
