Inspiration
There is often a lack of efficient communication channels between citizens and local government authorities, leading to delayed resolution of community issues and frustration among residents. We as a Citizen have faced issues everyday such as faulty roads, bad waste management, etc. So with that in mind, an idea popped up in our head to create a project for solving those problems.
What it does
The web app helps citizen's to post community issues that will reach to the concerned government authorities.
How we built it
We discussed on the features to add. Then we divided the backend and front end development of the features accordingly. We used vscode IDE for front end development and used** html, css and js** as well as bootstrap framework. For backend development we used eclipse IDE and java language as well as springboot framework.
Challenges we ran into
Time management: We divided the task accordingly to time but some of us where not able to complete in the planned time. Error handling: Main problem we faced was handling errors that occur.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We managed to develop a functional web app that facilitates direct communication between citizens and government authorities, paving the way for quicker issue resolution and improved community welfare.
What we learned
We learned that the time management is very important and we learn how to work in a team. We also learn how other teams worked together.
What's next for Citizen's Voice
In the future, we plan to implement additional features such as reporting mechanisms and integration with Google Maps for precise issue location identification.
