Inspiration

Thousands of new college students are new to the world of Boba. We want to help connect them to new flavors and friends.

What it does

Social platform for students to swipe on boba flavors and meet up with friends of similar tastes.

How I built it

Front end: NextJS, Material UI Back end: Flask, Firebase, Clerk

Challenges I ran into

Managing user data between two different database services (Firebase and Clerk)

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Allowing users to interact with other profiles and locations in real time

What I learned

Don't overcomplicate user data management. It makes everything else harder.

What's next for BobaBae

Deploy the website so that others can find new boba and friends in real life!
