Aw Rats!

Inspiration

Our team's mutual love of cats and silly stories.

What it does

It goes through 3 levels of fighting ghost rats, each level gets harder with different types of rats. You can help the cat get rid of its rat problem.

How we built it

Using Pixilart, a free pixel art program, we created original sprits and environments. We put them together by coding in Rep.it in a shared project. Throughout the whole project, we collaborated on design and gameplay decisions.

Challenges we ran into

Working with so many images and files was discombobulating and led to many bugs that weren't easy to track down.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The unique story and design that we came up with since we spent so long working on it.

What we learned

We learned about the complexities of pixel art and how to code a story. We also learned how to code on a time crunch and continuously.

What's next for Aw Rats!

If we had the time we would love to create more cut scenes and detail to flesh out the story and also create a proper ending.
